Dylan Reeves Commits to Kinesiology at Brock University in St. Catharines

by Jim Stewart

Dylan Reeves became the fifteenth member of the Titans Class of 2021 to commit to a post-secondary program.  A substantial scholarship from Brock University in St. Catharines will keep the 17U infielder in Ontario for his post-secondary studies and university baseball options. Reeves chose academics first and will stay in Canada for his education. He offered various reasons for his decision:  “Brock is recognized as having one of the highest-ranked Kinesiology programs. The campus and community look wonderful to be a part of, as well. The scholarship money they offered didn’t hurt either!” The Honor Roll graduate of Emily Carr Secondary School is looking forward to his post-secondary setting:  “St. Catharines is big enough not to be boring, but not too big for it to be crowded and busy. It’s part of the Niagara Escarpment so all the outdoor activities and experiences will be great.”  The Kleinburg resident will “study Kinesiology, the scientific study of the human body’s mechanical movement” at Brock U.

Reeves thanked the Titans staff for their various contributions to his success: “The Titans helped me hone in on my work ethic and through their training and fitness regimen opened my eyes to a vocation that I am excited to pursue. The Titans also offered resources that helped me excel in my education while maintaining a focus on baseball.” Dylan’s best memory of being a Titan was “Just being a part of a great group of guys, teammates, and coaching staff. We have always pushed each other to be our best.” When asked to offer words of advice to younger Titans to help them achieve their goals, the accomplished student-athlete offered these words of wisdom: “Always do more than the bare minimum, whether it’s homework, practice, or competing. Putting aside time to improve only sets you up for success on and off the field.”

Congratulations, Dylan, on your academic scholarship to Brock University and best of luck with the Badgers!  We are proud of your achievements!
