Giancarlo Rosati commits to the University of Northwestern Ohio Racers

18U Titans infielder Giancarlo Rosati committed to the University of Northwestern Ohio Racers as 2024 drew to a close.  The Bradford resident joins Titans’ “Class of 2024” catcher Adam Darlison at UNO’s campus in Lima, Ohio.

Titans’ 17U Head Coach and Director of College Placement Denis Bailey noted the right stuff that Rosati possesses to succeed with the NAIA Racers: “Rosati is a guy that is new to the Titans program, but he made an impact right away.  I was extremely pleased with his performance on the College Trip.  He showed tremendous ability on both sides of the ball and is going to a program that helps develop guys.”

Rosati is the sixth Titan from “The Class of 2025” to commit to a US College.  He signed his letter of intent to attend the NAIA school for a variety of reasons:  “I committed to the University of Northwestern Ohio Racers because I'm super excited to further my academic and baseball career there! It feels like the perfect place for me to grow and chase my dreams and feels like home.”

In addition to Lima, Ohio feeling “like home”, Rosati noted that he’s “really looking forward to the new experiences and challenges that come with living in Ohio. Plus, being part of the baseball team and meeting new friends will be awesome and a great experience I’ll never forget.”

Rosati will major in Sports Management at the University of Northwestern Ohio and the graduate of Bradford District High School outlined his goals when he moves to Ohio in September:  “My athletic goals are to improve my skills on and off the field and help the team win games and be an impact later down the line, while my academic goals are to maintain a strong GPA and excel in my studies and have a good balance.”

The third baseman and shortstop thanked the Titans Baseball Club for helping secure his placement with the Racers, especially “Coach Bailey who was very helpful and helped me with this opportunity with UNOH and to be able to connect with Coach Snow.”

Rosati reflected on the high point thus far during his short time with the Titans.  Like many players in the organization, he praised an annual trek through six states to over a dozen prospective schools that is organized by Coach Bailey:  “My highlight with the Titans was definitely the College Trip.  I was able to connect with my teammates and coaches and had the opportunity to play college teams and improve as a baseball player.”

He offered advice for the younger Titans regarding the formula for post-secondary success: “I would advise younger players to stay focused on both their academics and athletics. It's important to work hard in the classroom and on the field and have a good work ethic and a good routine. Working hard at both will open doors for you in the future.”

Wise words from our new U18 Titan and a future University of Northwestern Ohio Racer.  Congratulations, Giancarlo, on your post-secondary commitment and all the best in 2025 as a Titan and Racer.
