Titans’ 2021 Fall Ball Schedule: 6 Weeks of Player Development and Community-Building

by Jim Stewart

It’s an exciting and busy time of the year for the Titans Baseball Club as the calendar flips from August to September.  Director of Baseball Operations Lawrence Vera released details today regarding the Titans Fall Ball season.  In addition to adding a new CPBL squad in the 14U division and populating four other rosters to replenish depth charts, the Titans will be participating in inter-squad games and exhibition games versus CPBL, PBLO, and FJSL teams over a six-week period from September 11 to October 17.  Practices will commence on September 7.

Three community-building highlights on the schedule are the 2nd Annual Titans Baseball Golf Shotgun Scramble Tournament at Cardinal West GC on October 2; a United States College Trip for our 16U, 17U, and 18U teams running from October 7-17 including stops in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia; and the 2nd Annual Movember Charity game on October 16 between Titans players and Titans coaches for bragging rights but most importantly, donating to a worthy social cause. Last year, the Titans community raised $2300 towards cancer research and the coaching staff eked out a narrow victory on the frozen tundra of New Tecumseth.

The Fall Ball schedule features all five Titans teams playing an array of opponents, including the Toronto Mets, Ontario Rockies, Watson Elite (Ottawa), Ottawa-Napanee Canadians, Capital City Reds (Ottawa), Kingston Colts, and Sudbury Voyageurs. The 2021 Fall schedule link is included here

Head Coaches Denis Bailey (18U), Lawrence Vera (17U), Eddie McKiernan (16U), Nick Dimpfel (15), and Johnny Bethune (14U) are looking forward to the two-month evaluation period with their new teams on the field.  The focus—as always with the Titans—will be player development for its student-athletes.
