Titans Baseball Club Announces Commitment: Blake Da Silva to the UNOH Racers
The Titans Baseball Club is proud to announce that 2026 RHP/OF Blake Da Silva has officially committed to the University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH) Racers, continuing a journey defined by steady development, maturity, and a deep love for competing at the highest level.
For Blake, choosing UNOH felt more like a confirmation than a decision. Over the past two seasons, he had played on the Racers’ campus during collegiate tour events - experiences that made a lasting impression. When the program extended an offer and he returned for an official visit, he immediately knew it was the right place to spend the next four years of his baseball career. “I really enjoyed playing at their school for two years in a row,” Blake said. “When they offered me a spot and I visited, I knew it was the right place for me.”
The move to Lima, Ohio represents more than a change of scenery. Blake is eager to immerse himself in an environment where baseball becomes the centerpiece of daily life. As he described it, the excitement comes from “having the opportunity to play baseball in a different environment and making it the main part of my life for the next four years.”
Balancing academics with athletics has always been a priority for Blake, and he plans to major in Sports Marketing and Management, a field that aligns naturally with his interests on and off the diamond. His goals at UNOH reflect both ambition and maturity: on the field, he aims to become a stronger, more complete player with the ability to contribute as a varsity starter; in the classroom, he is committed to earning his degree and carrying the same competitive edge into his academic work. “My goals are to come out of the program a better player and a starter on varsity,” he said. “Academically, to graduate and earn a degree.”
Blake’s growth over the last several years mirrors the expectations and standards of the Titans program. He credits his coaches not only for improving his skills as an athlete, but also for shaping who he is as a person. “The Titans developed me not only as a better player, but also as a person,” he shared. “They’ve shown me that nothing is given.”
Some of his best memories as a Titan come from competing alongside top players across the province and forming the kind of relationships that last far beyond a single season. The experiences — the games, the road trips, the training days, and the moments in between — have created what Blake calls “infinite memories with players and coaches.”
As he moves into the next stage of his baseball journey, Blake offers thoughtful advice to younger Titans who aspire to follow a similar path. He emphasizes discipline in the classroom and consistency in daily habits — two factors that play a major role in post-secondary opportunities. “Always stay focused in school — it plays a big part if the school you’re attending offers academic money,” he said. “On the athletic side, find a way to put some time in every day to try to get better.”
Blake’s commitment to UNOH is a testament to years of steady work, quiet determination, and a willingness to embrace the standards of a high-performance environment. The Titans Baseball Club congratulates Blake and his family on an outstanding achievement and looks forward to watching him continue to grow at the collegiate level.
