Titans Baseball Club Announces Commitment: Eric Gregato to SUNY Fredonia

The Titans Baseball Club is proud to announce that 2025 LHP/OF Eric Gregato has officially committed to SUNY Fredonia, an NCAA program known for its competitive standard and strong academic culture. For Eric, the decision felt right from the moment he arrived on campus. The balance between baseball and academics, paired with a welcoming community, made the choice clear. “I committed to SUNY Fredonia because of the student and athletic culture where I can heavily focus on baseball while prioritizing my academics,” he said. “I felt at home as soon as I stepped foot on campus.”

Eric looks forward to embracing a new environment — one that offers both change and comfort. “I’m excited to have a different environment where I play baseball and go to school, while still feeling like I am at home,” he shared.  At Fredonia, he plans to study Sports Management, pairing academic ambition with his passion for athletics.

From day one with the Titans, Eric has been defined by a consistent, disciplined approach to improvement. His goals for college reflect the same mindset: “to get 1% better every day on the field, in the weight room, and in the classroom.”

Titans Director of Player Development Jesse Barker has watched that progression firsthand. “Eric is one of those players who raises the standard for everyone around him,” said Barker. “He doesn’t take shortcuts. He shows up, gets his work in, and holds himself accountable every single day. That mentality is exactly what succeeds at the NCAA level.”

Eric attributes that mentality in large part to the Titans experience. “The Titans taught me resilience and mental toughness along with hard work, while making me a better person,” he said. “All key aspects of college baseball.” Barker agrees, noting that Eric embraced every expectation placed on him. “Eric didn’t just learn our standards — he lived them,” said Barker. “He’s grown into a mature, reliable athlete who understands what it means to compete with purpose. SUNY Fredonia is getting a player who already thinks and prepares like a college athlete.”

Among his most meaningful memories as a Titan, Eric points to competing annually in Canada’s top amateur league and building lifelong relationships. “Competing in the top amateur league in Canada for four years while making memories with teammates and coaches that will last a lifetime,” he said.

Barker reinforced that Eric’s impact stretched far beyond game days. “Eric is the kind of player younger Titans naturally look up to,” he said. “Not because he talks the loudest, but because he leads through consistency and work ethic. He has set an example that will stay in our program for years.”

As he prepares for NCAA competition, Eric shared thoughtful advice for the next generation of Titans: “Show up every day and work as hard as you can — don’t let anyone tell you that you cannot do or be something. The only thing you have to worry about is yourself.” He also stresses the importance of off-field preparation: “Get after it in the weight room and focus on getting good grades. Both of these factors will get you more, bigger, and better post-secondary opportunities.”

The Titans Baseball Club congratulates Eric Gregato and his family on this achievement. His commitment to SUNY Fredonia is a testament to steady improvement, mental toughness, and a deep dedication to his craft — qualities that reflect the core of the Titans program.
