Titans Charity Campaign Raises $2,849 for Movember Foundation

The Titans Baseball Club’s Second Annual Movember Foundation campaign raised $2,849 for cancer research. The community’s $2,500 target for Fall 2021 was bettered by $349 as November drew to a close.  Director of Baseball Operations and Player Development Lawrence Vera declared the campaign “an important achievement by the Titans” and noted that “the organization has raised $5,182 over the last two years for an important charitable foundation.”

The Titans kicked off the fundraising campaign on Sunday, October 17 with the  Second Annual Coaches versus Players Charity Game held at Milliken Field in Markham.  Titans’ players paid $75 each to participate in the game; such generosity on the part of the community jumpstarted the fundraising campaign.  Game participation fees and subsequent on-line donations went towards the Movember Foundation’s special focus on prostate and testicular cancer treatment and its research initiatives.  Thanks to the Titans community of parents, players, coaches, relatives, and administrators for contributing over $5000 over the last two years to this worthy cause.  Well done!
