Titans’ Top Seven CPBL Performances from Week 2

The 15U Titans stole the spotlight from the organization’s four other clubs with a sterling doubleheader sweep versus the Terriers.  Head Coach John Bethune was pleased with his squad’s effort and highlighted the performance of four of his 15U players.

For the second week in a row, dual player Aiden Stewart graced the Titans’ Top Ten list on the strength of a quality five-inning start during which he earned the W and scattered three earned runs.  Stewart also hit .500 versus the Terriers (2 for 4), drew two walks, scored three runs, and picked up an RBI.

Jayden Martel also turned in a steady two-way performance by going 2 for 3 with two bases on balls, a double, and an RBI at the dish.  Martel earned a Save in an effective inning of work on the bump.

Two 15U hitters were outstanding in the doubleheader sweep of the Terriers. Aiden Lue-Pon batted .750 (3 for 4) during which he hit a double, a triple, scored three runs, and drove in two.  Michael Ventresca provided a second potent bat for the 15U Titans by batting .500 (3 for 6), driving in five runs, collecting a double, and scoring two runs.

16U Head Coach Sam Cawker was impressed with Brady Rozen’s work in the batter’s box.  Coach Cawker noted that "Brady's been our most productive hitter thus far this season." Rozen collected six hits on the weekend, stole four bases, and drove in four runs.

Two 17U Titans impressed Head Coach Denis Bailey in his squad’s Opening Weekend games versus the Ontario Royals, the Ontario Nationals, and the Ontario Astros.

Coach Bailey’s most productive hitter was Jackson Doyle who collected three doubles and four RBI’s by going 3 for 8 and scoring one run.

Six strikeouts in three innings of work by veteran Titans pitcher Eric Gregato caught Coach Bailey’s attention.
