‘Train like a Titan’ Program Lifts Off this Fall for Community Baseball Teams at the TNF

by Jim Stewart

The Titans Baseball Club is pleased to announce its “Train like a Titan” program to as many as six community baseball teams during the off-season at the True North Fieldhouse.  According to Titans Director of Baseball Operations Lawrence Vera, “Train like a Titan constitutes 21 weeks of training for 42+ hours. It runs from November to April and during Open Hours at True North Fieldhouse from Monday to Friday-- 3pm to 5:30pm.  2 Titans coaches will supervise the training and equipment is provided. Only 6 teams will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Our Titans coaches will be providing instruction on hitting, pitching, and defense. We will also work with community baseball coaches to design a plan for the off-season. Each player receives 15% off camps and individual lessons. Participants will receive a Titans shirt.”

Coach Vera also delineated the price of the program for each community baseball team that wishes to avail themselves of this specialized off-season training:  “It’s $500 per player + HST and a player minimum would be 10 players. Our current open slots would be Friday-- 6pm to 8pm and 8pm to 10pm; Saturday-- 2pm to 4pm and 4pm to 6pm; and Sunday-- 4pm to 6pm and 6pm to 8pm.”
